This Privacy Policy explains what information we collect through our website, how we use it, who we share it with and the choices you have. Please read it carefully.

Starie's Outdoor Lighting (“Starie’s,” “we,” “us” or “our”) is a permanent outdoor lighting company based in Austin, Texas. This Policy covers information collected through starieslighting.com and its subdomains (the “Site”). It explains:

• What personal information the Site collects, how we use it and who it may be shared with.
• The choices you have about your information.
• How we protect your information.
• How to correct or delete your information.

Text messages (SMS)

When you give us a mobile number, whether on our quote form, our referral form, by calling us or otherwise, you agree that Starie’s may text you at that number about your request. These texts can include replies to your quote request, scheduling and appointment updates, install-day reminders, and follow-ups about your service or support. Some messages may be sent automatically.

• Consent isn’t required to buy. You don’t have to agree to texts to get a quote or hire us. Tell us if you’d rather we call or email.
• Frequency varies with your project and how often we’re in touch.
• Message and data rates may apply under your mobile plan.
• To stop texts, reply STOP at any time. For help, reply HELP or contact us using the details below. If you opt out and later want texts again, just text us or ask us to start them again.
• Mobile carriers aren’t responsible for delayed or undelivered messages.

We do not sell, rent or share your mobile number or your text-messaging consent with third parties or affiliates for their marketing or promotional purposes. We may share it only with service providers who help us communicate with you, and only to provide that help.

When you send us a referral, we may call, text or email your friend about Starie’s, because you confirmed they agreed to be contacted. They can reply STOP to any text at any time.

What information we collect

Website traffic data

Our Site is hosted by Vercel. Like most web hosts, Vercel automatically processes basic technical information when you visit, such as your IP address, browser and device type, the pages you request and the time of each request. This data is used to deliver the Site, keep it secure and fix problems. It does not, on its own, tell us who you are.

Cookies and tracking

The Site does not set cookies, and we don’t use analytics, advertising pixels or other tracking tools. If that changes, we’ll update this Policy first.

Information you give us

We collect personal information only when you choose to send it to us:

• Quote request form: your name, email address, phone number and, if you add one, a note about your project.
• Referral form: your first and last name, email address and phone number, plus the name, phone number and (optionally) the email address and city of the person you’re referring. You must confirm that the person you’re referring has agreed to be contacted by us.
• Email and phone: anything you send when you email us at service@starieslighting.com or call us at (512) 522-4985.

Both forms also include a hidden field that helps us filter out automated spam. People never see or fill it in.

How we use and share your information

We use your information to answer your questions, prepare quotes, plan and complete installations, provide support after an install and run our referral program. That includes contacting the person you referred and sending your referral reward once their installation is complete.

We may also contact you by email, phone call or text message (see Text messages) about your request or project, about our services, or about changes to this Policy. You can ask us to stop at any time.

We do not sell or rent your personal information to anyone.

Your choices and access to your information

You can opt out of future contact from us at any time. To see, correct or delete the personal information we have about you, contact us using the details below.

We may take reasonable steps to confirm your identity before acting on a request.

Security

We take reasonable steps to protect your information. The whole Site is served over an encrypted HTTPS connection, so form submissions are encrypted on the way to us. You can confirm this by checking that the address in your browser starts with “https.”

The Site doesn’t take payments, so we never collect card or bank details online.

Only the people at Starie’s who need your information to respond to you or complete your project can access it.

No method of sending or storing data is completely secure, so we can’t guarantee absolute security.

Service providers and other disclosures

We use a small number of service providers to run the Site. They may handle your information only to provide their service to us:

• Vercel hosts the Site and runs the forms.
• Resend delivers form submissions to our inbox as email.
• Our business email provider stores the messages we receive.

We may also share information if the law requires it, or to protect our rights, property or safety, or those of others.

Third-party apps and links

Starie’s lighting systems are controlled with Pixel Dancer, a third-party app. We don’t operate that app. When you download or use it, the app developer’s own privacy policy and terms apply.

The Site may also link to other websites. We aren’t responsible for their content or privacy practices, so please review their policies when you visit them.

Changes to this Policy

We may update this Policy from time to time by posting the new version on this page and changing the effective date above. Changes take effect when they are posted. If you keep using the Site after an update, the updated Policy applies.
